Caring For Your Paddle:

Paddles do incur natural wear and tear and breakdown of materials over time.  Taking care of your paddle will significantly extend its life. Here are a few steps you can take to extend the life of your paddle.

  • Practice good technique. Avoid repeatedly striking things such as gunnels, rails, rocks, and coral heads and avoid falling on your paddle.
  • Avoid leaving your paddle in a hot car or similar hot environment for prolonged periods of time.
  • Seal any exposed wood with polyurethane.
  • Keep your paddle in a paddle bag. KIALOA offers a variety of bags and blade covers that help protect paddles from heat and sun exposure as well as unexpected dings.
  • Rinse all parts of your paddle in fresh water after use in salt water.

Our primary concern with warranties is to get you safely back on the water as soon as possible!

Limited One-Year Warranty:

KIALOA guarantees to you, the original owner, that our product will be free from defects in materials and craftsmanship for one year from date of purchase.  If you experience problems with a KIALOA product, return it to KIALOA with the Warranty Request Form form at the bottom of this page and please provide proof of purchase. Defective products will be replaced or repaired at the discretion of KIALOA. KIALOA shall not be responsible for incidental or consequential damage, unreasonable use or improper care. Any paddle returned with incomplete information will be set aside for a reasonable amount of time and no action will be taken until we are contacted.

Non-Warranty Repair Policy:

Damages due to accidents, improper use, wear and tear or other non-warranty issues will be repaired at a reasonable cost plus shipping and handling. Please send your paddle postage paid with our Customer Repair Form attached to the paddle and we will repair it after a quote and your approval with payment. If the paddle is irreparable we may choose to offer a replacement paddle at a discount. This will be considered on an individual basis.
