Stand Up Paddles - The Choices

When choosing a paddle there are a few questions you can ask yourself that will help narrow down the choice. Will you be surfing or flat water paddling? What is your fitness and skill level? And what kind of board do you have? As a general rule, the slower the watercraft, the smaller the blade. Here is a quick list of our stand up paddles and what kind of paddleboarding are best suited for.

 

Full Carbon Paddles

Full carbon paddles are the top of the line in performace paddles.  Carbon provides a superior strength to weight ratio and these paddles are used by some of the best athletes in the world.

 

• Pipes – This paddle was designed for women. It is the smallest blade in our line up and is excellent for surfing or recreational paddling.

 

• Methane – This paddle was designed for surf. It allows for a quick tempo to catch the waves and for getting your board up and moving from a dead stop.

 

• Shaka Puu – This  paddle is one of our most popular and the best for all around  paddle boarding including racing, surfing or fitness.

 

• Toro - Designed specifically for racing, the Toro is an innovative paddle with a superior catch and ultra strong shaft.

 

 

IKAIKA Series

Our IKAIKA paddles are made of the revolutionary Continuous Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic (CFRT®) technology which adds the performance benefits of composite fibers to the srength of thermoplastic polymers. This combination creates an amazingly lightweight and tough paddle at a great price.  IKAIKA paddles are perfect for rough conditions like whitewater and rocky shores as well as beginning paddlers.

 

• Pupu – Pupu means appetizer and its strength, durability and price make it the perfect starting point into the world of stand up paddling.

 

• Hapa – This paddle is half glass fibers and  half carbon fibers with a carbon palm grip. It is available in two blade sizes making it the perfect affordable paddle for surfers or racers

 

• Lau Lau – This  paddle has a full carbon shaft and t-top with an lighter CFRT blade than the others in this series.   The Lau Lau is an amazing paddle for the price, with the strength and durability of the IKAIKA series and the performance of a full carbon.

 

 

Adjustable Paddles
